Just Like Starting Over

October 6th, 2007

Hi, all.

I’m starting over: new blog, new place (good to be back here at HSJ), new enthusiasm about blogging (well, we’ll see how long it lasts).  New attitude.

I’m Paige, and I’m mom to four amazing daughters:  Shelby (14), Victoria (Tori- 9), Ashlyn (8), and Loryn (5).  I’m Dave’s wife/best friend/hetero life-mate. We live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.  There’s lots more to say about our lives together, but I’ll get to all that later.  This is, after all, an “intro” post.  Now that this cherry is busted, I’ll get to the meat and potatoes.  Keep reading.

My intention is not to use this space to write about current events, as I think there are way too many bloggers doing that already.  However, should I climb up on the soapbox and start espousing my personal thoughts/beliefs regarding politics, right-wing fundies, unschooling, parenting, etc. then so be it.  You’re more than welcome to stay, grab some munchies and a latte (or a good stiff drink), and laugh (or cry) right along with me.

Once in a while pop-culture stuff will creep into my writing; I can’t help it.  I love good music, good books, and good movies.  I firmly believe that TV can be used as a learning tool, and I frequently DVR programs on BBC, History Channel, PBS, etc. that turn out to be excellent sources of entertainment and learning, for all of us.

What I’m trying to say, is that I reserve the right to write about whatever I feel like writing about.  Grab a seat, and relax…everything’s gonna be just fine!
